On the eve of the weekend, Louis-Régis Dupont Moreau, President of the Tencom group, an energy and telco giant, is outvoted by the Board of Directors. The shareholders are asking for his resignation. “The King of the World”, as his detractors nicknamed him, is harassed by journalists.
Lucien, his driver, finds his boss completely haggard in front of this professional earthquake, and afraid that he could commit an irreparable act, decides to remove him from Paris and take him “to breathe” in the countryside. “The king of the world” seems to abandon himself to this proposal, and finds himself in front of a pretty Norman inn whose driver Julien heard great things about, being himself from the neighbouring village.
There, Louis-Régis finds himself facing Juliette, his ex-wife, who runs the establishment with the help of her husband Adrien. The reunion promises to be eventful, especially for an ex-husband who has long forgotten what real life, others and especially himself, were like!
