The world of Anarchy
France 4 and France TV Nouvelles Ecritures present Anarchy, the fictional story of France as it is forced to leave the euro-zone. From now on, citizens have to live with only forty euros a week. And as economy staggers, institutions and society are stumbling and chaos lies in wait.
Anarchy is a collective and interactive creation, offering total immersion in this chaotic France: it is up to you to write and tell the story the way you imagine it. The characters and story are all yours. Anarchy is the first participative transmedia fiction. It consists of a website, a game, an app, a series, a novel and a weekly column by writer Marc Dugain.
Chaos has come: time to enter history…
Anarchy encourages viewers to think about society and to collectively imagine a new world. It is based on a one-of-a-kind digital platform, constantly updated by a team of journalists and writers working daily from 7am to 10pm, writing articles, producing a daily news broadcast and running a live news feed.
This online platform also offers viewers an exclusive creative writing experience, allowing them to create and develop characters on a fictional social network.
…and write its screenplay.
Every week, viewers get a chance to participate in the creation of the show. Characters they’ve created can be chosen to appear in the next episodes, if their motivations and desires convince the editorial board. Entering the story is one way to win the game.Once the winner has lent his or her character to the writers, they turn it into a role that actors then bring to life on screen.
Production follows a unique rhythm, as each episode is written, shot and broadcast in the same week.
